“Lois Lane” globally released live on Itunes, Amazon, Spotify, MTV, Pandora, YouTube, and more April 16, 2013
After a decade of experience in the music industry, Mia set out to create a new type of pop album. In February 2013, Mia moved from New York City to Los Angeles to coproduce her new album with the biggest producers in the game. Mia and The Moonlight is pioneering a new and unheard before blend of mystic-pop with traditional songwriter roots.
“Lois Lane” was written by Mia Koo, Timothy Young, and produced by Grammy nominated producer Ido Zmishlany. The single, recorded at Wind Up Records in New York City in the Summer of 2012, features Matt Rullo from Company of Thieves on Drums and Andrew Pertes from Penguin Prison on bass.
“For the last two years I have been writing for this new project, trying to get the right songs in place. It took a while for me to find my new sound, but I am super happy with the disco-pop spin on my new album. I am re-creating pop music with this new record; how we all wish it sounded in 2013,” says Mia.
Collaborating with old friends and new, Mia debuted her solo project “Mia and The Moonlight” by digitally releasing her first single “Lois Lane” from her new record on April 16, 2013. The single was released worldwide through major online distributors, including iTunes, Amazon, Rhapsody, Spotify, Pandora, MTV (Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Spain, US, UK), Walmart, Last.fm, eMusic, Napster, Zune, and Beatport.
